Stories and Nightmares about Playing Drums

Thank god it wasn’t at a show, but I was about 15 years old, practicing with a band of mine, and out of the blue, a double bass pedal I had for about 2 weeks broke. Now I don’t mean the cheap little single chain or strap broke, or the beater screw came loose and it flew out. THE PEDAL BROKE IN HALF. Yeah, the footboard! Plenty more stories of me breaking drum stuff in the future, such as a broken cymbal, that a piece ended up hitting a guitarist and I ended up with a bloody hand. DUH!
